On December 12, 2024, in Yerevan, was held  a session of the Expert Group under the Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The session focused on integration difficulties in the areas of bank deposit insurance (guarantee), liquidation, financial recovery, and bankruptcy of credit institutions within the EAEU. The meeting was organized by the Deposit Guarantee Fund.

During the session, the following issues, previously considered, were discussed:

• Possibilities for reducing or suspending guarantee payments by member banks of the deposit insurance (guarantee) system.
• Approaches to calculating guarantee payments in EAEU member states.
• Development of the Glossary related to deposit insurance systems in EAEU member states.

Additionally, representatives of the Russian Deposit Insurance Agency presented their experience with online reimbursement of deposits. The Expert Group’s work plan for 2025 was also discussed and approved.
